I was born and raised not far from New York City, met and married an Italian-American soon after graduating from high school, and spent my Sunday afternoons at grandma's house. Both of us earned undergraduate and graduate degrees while working and raising our three children, and I eventually became a professor and then an artist. Our family has returned to Italy and Sicily, has lived in Mexico, Guatemala, and Peru, and we now live in the state of Delaware.
I have written nonfiction before, but Touch is my first novel. Rosa and Tony will return for at least two more, including the upcoming Traffic.
